Epididymal Cysts

Epididymal cysts (Spermatocele) are smooth spherical swellings, which arise from the epididymis of the testis and contain straw coloured or milky fluid. Epididymal cysts are benign and very common. They do not require treatment unless they cause symptoms. It is not known why they occur.

How are Epididymal Cysts treated?

Usually no treatment is required. If a cyst becomes large and cumbersome, or starts to cause pain the cyst can be surgically treated via a Epididymal Cyst Excision.
